The second version of the film on “the history of immigration in France” is online since July 2006. Written by historians members of the scientific committee of the Cité, it describes two two centuries of immigration in forty minutes, with 350 photographs, archive files and sound extracts: successive waves of arrivals of immigrants and refugees, the implementation of the public policies and questions of nationality, reactions of the public opinion between xenophobia and solidarity, the work and trades of immigration, fights carried out, ways of life and cultural issues. It is an educational tool for the widest audience.
