- the image, with photos, but also embossments, posters, caricatures, comics etc.
- the object, with items that symbolize migration and migrants accompanied by the testimonial of people who have donated them
- the artworks of artists living and working in France that face the issues of migration.
Such a collection will be displayed in more than 1100 m2 of permanent exhibition. It will be organized in three sections: : "Emigrer" (emigrate), "Vivre en France" (live in France), "Diversités" (diversities).

The Histories of Home Subject Specialist Network’s Second Annual Conference, Multiple Belongings: Diaspora and Transnational Homes will take place on Friday 21 May at the British Library Conference Centre in London and will bring together academics, museum professionals, librarians and archivists.
